Anders Publishing no longer accepts physical submissions. Please submit all unsolicited projects to booksubmission@anderspublishing.com.

Submissions from both established and emerging authors are published by Anders Publishing. We are looking for projects that will give our list a special flair, whether that be in terms of subject matter, writing style, or illustrative approach. Board books, decks, activity kits, and other uncommon or novelty forms are also of interest to us, as well as fiction and nonfiction books for kids of all ages.

General Guidelines

  • We currently accept submissions by email only, which can be sent to booksubmission@anderspublishing.com.
  • To ensure delivery, please attach your proposal to your email as a single Word or PDF file, keeping the file size at 5MB or below. Due to security concerns, external links and downloads may not be opened.
  • Please specify in your cover letter or email if your proposal is being submitted simultaneously.
  • The automated response email will serve as a receipt confirmation. If you don’t get one, it’s possible that your submission didn’t make it to our mailbox.
  • Please give the editors six months to consider a proposal.
  • We cannot guarantee that we will be able to personally respond to every submission unless we are interested in pursuing the project, given the volume of proposals we receive.
  • Since we only accept digital submissions at this time, we cannot be held liable for any items that are sent by mail to our physical address.

What to Include in Your Proposal

  • Complete works from picture books can be submitted without being questioned first. Query letters, synopses, and three (3) sample chapters should be submitted for projects geared for older children, such as chapter books or YA novels.
  • Please be aware that we will only accept three (3) entries from the same author and/or illustrator during a six-month period if you have numerous project suggestions. Please send them all in the same email if you are sending more than one at once.
  • If your submission is the first of a series, only submit the first portion. The cover letter should mention the remaining books in the series.

Every month, we receive submissions for several different genres of books. Due to this, we are unable to track the receipt of individual submissions or respond to every inquiry.

PLEASE NOTE THAT THESE REQUIREMENTS DO NOT CONSTITUTE A SOLICITATION OF ANY MANUSCRIPT, ARTWORK, TRANSPARENTS, OR OTHER MATERIAL, BUT ARE PROVIDED FOR INFORMATION ONLY.
